The Spark

Hari ji is a prodigy born in a typical middle class family of Javagal, Hassan dist. Of Karnataka. Since childhood, he has been very active and unstoppable, always preferring the outdoors over indoors. It was an arduous task for his parents to contain him in the limited space of home or classroom. He would go on  with countless adventures with cousins like climbing trees and jumping off, trekking to the hilltop, diving into wells to swim, and more. It was never just one or two activities; they did it all. His energy was noticeable by everyone around. He was mischievous but respectable at the same time both by his friends and elders.

The Mysticism

During one summer holidays, they attended the funeral of a distant relative. A few days after they returned, a calf was born at his grandparent’s home. He was staring at that calf all the time. He felt like it was trying to convey him something.

The elders in our family were puzzled. As such a hyperactive kid, He was never the  one to sit in one place, let alone focus so intently on a calf for hours on end. What could have piqued his curiosity so deeply?

When they asked, He told them everything: “This calf doesn’t belong here. This calf is that uncle who died earlier. He is not willing to stay here, and needs to go back to his home. Otherwise, it might die within a few days.” Everyone thought He was joking and dismissed it as childish nonsense. After a week, the calf died.

This incident is a sign of his mystical abilities.
He thought what He was seeing and sensing was common and everyone was also seeing what He could see. But in later years He found that what He is seeing is not seen by anyone else. He then could not understand what it meant.

The Transformation…

The  initiation…in guruji’s own words.

“I had my sports practice the whole day. It was a really deep sleep. I had a dream of a sadhu initiating a mantra to me in a graveyard. I didn’t understand what it was. So I neglected it. But, I had a high degree of fever when I woke up. I was feeling tired, so I took a tablet and fell asleep again. The same dream repeated again. I woke up again and started to chant that mantra continuously  which was initiated by Sadhu. I lost count of the days. It went on for a week or more, Which brought a huge transformation within me. Previously I was a person who was running all day because of my activities. But later I started sitting at a place the whole day  without even moving an inch. My energies started transcending; this was the first samadhi I experienced. I continued to remain in that state of samadhi for almost 10 days.

In the initial days of my spiritual awakening, I had a lot of transformations within me. My way of looking at people changed to a completely different point of view.
I had a great sense of bliss and enthusiasm. I started looking at people without any prejudice. I had no goals of my own. Suddenly I had no idea of what I was looking for all these days.
It was a Sudden and the biggest flip in my life. Now I had much bigger perspectives towards life. Life was never the same again.
as I realized the ultimate truth, I realized a life with ultimate freedom. Which was a great contrast to the life I was previously dealing with. Previously I was running after a materialistic life full of irrelevant theories and unnecessary expectations .
I was filled with all the prejudiced notions of social contexts and compulsions.
With this awakening of spirituality, my life filled with absolute freedom. I had found a new life. A life where I can be happy all the time, a life where I can love anyone
without any prejudices. every detail in every minor aspect of life got transformed to abundance of everything.?
I started to go anywhere I wished for, I was doing anything I wished for. I had a great sense of compassion towards everything I experienced. Life was at its fullest bliss.”
Since then, many transformations started happening within me. I used to have very unique experiences.”

Once, after his transition one of his teachers at Gurukula had approached him during a Yoga program. He started to interact with Guruji, and started to ask him a number of questions. Though he was just a boy of 15, He had all the answers to every question he had asked. He was completely mesmerized by the answers and the experiences he was getting through Guruji. After around 6 hours of Q&A session the teacher accepted his primary school student as his Guru and fell on his feet. This was the first recognition of the spark within him.

The Blast

Eventually he was seeing and experiencing everything that others couldn’t. He started solving the social, familial and psychological problems of the people. Day by day he was getting a huge group of followers who experienced his energy.
But all these things were kept very confidential among his followers and were kept away from the notice of guruji’s parents.

One evening, a group of around 100 people came to guruji’s home. Everyone in the home was startled as no one had any idea of what was going on. The people who came there were screaming “BHAGAVAN, BHAGAVAN” and were ready to offer anything he would ask for. But Guruji found only the greed to possess the energy in them but not the real seeking. So he understood that just solving their problems wouldn’t work for people to uplift the consciousness of the people which is the core of true spiritual life.

The Pause

Because of that incident guruji refused all those big offerings offered by his disciples. He completely stopped such expression. He started utilizing that energy for his sadhana. He resumed his normal life. Continued his studies. Though his vision seemed confined during this period, the real spark was really active within him.

The Light

Though He wasn’t rejecting everything, He wasn’t ready to accept it either. He was questioning everything, and He continued to choose the materialistic life over all these experiences.

He studied his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and then got married and continued to lead life of a common man. He was continuously ignoring and rejecting that energy. Even then his experiences continued. He was testing it all the time whether it was an illusion. If it is an illusion or a kind of madness, it should disappear with time. If it is real, then it should remain with him, irrespective of whatever He does.

Once He was into a job, He was quite successful with all the materialistic aspects which every human being aspires for. Yet it appeared in front of him again with its full force. Now He had to surrender.

When that energy appeared before him with its full force, He had a greater responsibility of transmitting those experiences to every human being. To manifest the effort of taking spiritual experiences with the core values of spirituality, that truly stands to his vision with the sadhana to the commoneers he laid the cornerstone for SHOONYA FOUNDATION.
